03/17- Brian Tanner Adams, 38, of Muleshoe was arrested by the Texas Highway Patrol on a Lamb County warrant for Assault causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.

03/20- Amanda Gonzales Ramirez, 29, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on a Castro County warrant for Forgery of Financial Instrument.

• At 5:05 p.m., 109 Main Street, Hart, person armed with knife entered residence;
• At 5:22 p.m., 600 blk Broadway; Hart, arrest made for public intoxication.

03/18
• At 4:42 p.m., 4 miles west of FM 1055 on FM 145, theft of animals;
• At 5:38 p.m., 2500 blk Texas 86, cattle reported on roadway.

• At 9:15 a.m., 1100 blk Estes, Dimmitt, civil standby requested;
• At 5:55 p.m., 1200 blk U.S. 385-airport, fire reported.

• At 12:54 a.m., Texas 194 & CR 518, reckless driver reported.

03/21
• At 9:34 a.m., 7 miles west of Dimmitt on Texas 86, possible intoxicated driver reported;
• At 7:44 p.m., 3 miles of Dimmitt on Texas 194, livestock reported on roadway.

• At 11:30 a.m., 100 E. Bedford-Sheriff’s Office, Dimmitt, meet with complainant reporting forgery;
• At 2:47 p.m., 400 blk W. Halsell, Dimmitt, vandalism reported;
• At 9:55 p.m., 1500 blk Ruskin Circle, Dimmitt, assist Dimmitt Police & Castro County EMS with medical call.

• At 2:50 p.m., 100 blk Coronado Road, Coronado Acres, burn ban violation reported;
• At 3:56 p.m., Front & FM 3215, Dimmitt, horse reported running at large;
• At 8:31 p.m., 600 blk NW 6th, Dimmitt, assist Dimmitt Police with person requesting to speak with an officer-unknown emergency.

March 18, 2014 Jury Trial:

Edward Ewing, 37, of Dimmitt was found guilty by a Castro County Jury for the offense of Injury to a Child. He was also sentenced by the Jury to two (2) years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-State Jail and a $2,500 fine. His case was indicted as a reckless injury to child and the offense was a State Jail Felony.[/private]
