04/29- Marcus Ray Nieto, 21, of Dimmitt was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office on a Castro County warrant for Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle-Motion to Adjudicate Guilt.

04/30- Fernando Aguero, 48, of Dimmitt was booked into jail awaiting transfer to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division.

05/01- Mark Corrales Escobar, 42, of Levelland was arrested by the Sheriff’s Office for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Conviction.

05/03- Issac Patrick Garcia, 19, of Earth was arrested by the Dimmitt Police for Driving Under the Influence by a Minor.

  • At 4:27 p.m., 100 E. Bedford-Jail, Dimmitt, assist Castro County EMS with medical in jail;
  • At 9:12 p.m., 800 blk CR 528, trespassing reported;
  • At 10:43 p.m., 1700 blk Texas 194, livestock reported on roadway.

  • At 8:36 p.m., 1200 blk CR 612C, alarm reported;
  • At 11:08 a.m., FM 168 & CR 630, assist Texas Highway Patrol with traffic accident;
  • At 12:19 p.m., CR 610 & CR 503A, assist Deaf Smith County with vehicle pursuit;
  • At 9:35 p.m., FM 145 & Texas 194, controlled burn reported;
  • At 9:50 p.m., US 385 & Halsell, Dimmitt, assist Dimmitt Police with traffic accident.

  • At 8:00 a.m., 100 E. Bedford-Sheriff’s Office, Dimmitt, elder abuse reported;
  • At 10:12 a.m., 700 blk FM 2397, animal call;
  • At 5:40 p.m., 1400 blk Texas 86, possible theft reported.

  • At 5:44 p.m., 1500 blk US 385, public assistance-gave ride to pedestrians due to thunderstorm approaching;
  • At 7:03 p.m., FM 145 & FM 303, livestock reported on roadway;
  • At 8:38 p.m., U.S. 385 & FM 2397, livestock reported on roadway;

Francisco Castillo Ramirez, 59, of Dimmitt pled guilty to the original charge of Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 over 4 grams-under 200 grams. He was sentenced to 8 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division, $3,000 fine, $334 court costs, $750 Attorney Fees and $140 in restitution to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Cipriano Rosendo Ramirez, 28, of Amarillo pled guilty to the offenses of Unlawful Possessio of Firearm by Felon and Prohibited Weapon-Short Barreled Firearm. He was sentenced on each charge to 5 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division, $2,000 fine, $274 court costs and $500 Attorney Fees.

Donny James Curtis, 38, of Amarillo pled guilty to the original charge of Aggravated Robbery. He was sentenced to 8 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division, $3,000 fine, $274 court costs, $750 Attorney Fees and $3,115 in restitution to the victim of the crime.

Guadalupe Marquez, 39, of Dimmitt pled guilty to the original charge of Theft over $1,500-under $20,000. Her guilty plea was set aside and she was placed on 5 years of Deferred Adjudication Probation, $2,000 fine, $347 court costs and $5,522.16 in restitution to the victim of the crime.

Sofia Morales, 43, of Hart pled guilty to the original charge of Tampering with Government Records. Her guilty plea was set aside and she was placed on 7 years of Deferred Adjudication Probation, $1,500 fine, $284 court costs and $17,144.21 in restitution to the victim of the crime.

Fernando Aguero Sr., 48, of Dimmitt pled guilty to two charges of Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 over 1 gram-under 4 grams and Violation of Motor Fuel Tax Requirements. On the Possession case he was sentenced to 7 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division, $2,000 fine, $344 court costs and $180 in restitution to the Texas Department of Public Safety. On the Violation of Motor Fuel Tax Requirements he was sentenced to 7 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division, $2,000 fine and $284 court costs.
