Longhorn Cross-Country Team Is First In District

Longhorns Win District Cross-Country; Ladyhorns Come In Second

Cross Country Coach Ruby Romero announces that the Longhorn Cross Country Team captured first place at the district meet held in Plainview on October 13. The Ladyhorns came in second, as did the JV Ladyhorn team.

In the varsity girls’ division, Marissa Godino came in third; Yeiry Minjarez was sixth and Danielle Godino was eighth.

Jesus Guerrero was second in the boys’ division; Ruben Sotelo, fourth; Josiah Holguin, sixth; and Pancho Ramirez, seventh. In the JV boys’ division, David Cedillo was first and Dylan Ramirez, second.

Isreal Minjarez was third in the junior high boys’ competition.

Romero announces that Yeiry Minjarez has been offered a cross-county scholarship to McMurry University in Abilene, but she is waiting on on other options before making  a decision.
